Bored in the Park: A Collection

I always liked Florida State better.

I had a dream last night that our apartment was infested with baby alligators!
It was horrible! These tiny ones kept biting my toes, there was a medium sized one in the bathtub, and a larger one in the living room that I somehow was able to shoo out the door after some bites to my leg. It was scary stuff. Especially because it was really our apartment. You know how sometimes you dream about your house, but it doesn't look anything like your house - but you KNOW that its supposed to be your house. Well, this looked exactly like our apartment. (Except for the fact that our friend Bill was sleeping in the corner of the bedroom - I don't know what THAT was about) It was one of the most terrifying dreams I've ever had.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!

Dramatic Baby

I've watched this like 15 times in a row, and I cannot stop laughing. Tears are streaming down my face.

Super Nice

Last night Greg and I cuddled up on the couch, plugged in the Halloween/Christmas/year round lights, and turned on a mediocre movie. It was just like "old times" and it was so nice. ( I think it was the Christmas lights that made it special ). Things have been by no means strained lately, but it seems like we are spending less and less time together since he's been so busy with school and shooting stuff and what not. The time we have had to together lately has been revolving around family events, so just having some time last night to veg and watch a bad movie (with the lights!) was really great. Oh, and The Hills Have Eyes 2 is just as bad as I expected if not a little bit more. At least it was free.

Working at Blockbuster does have its perks. I've been able to check out movies I would otherwise have no interest in because I get to see them for free. Vacancy, Premonition, The Last Mimzy all come to mind. (And, actually, Vacancy wasn't that bad for a straight forward predictable thriller) Other recent views and my opinions:

The not really recommended, but I would totally understand if you probably want to check them out so I won't roll my eyes or anything:
Disbturbia - I think because it got such great buzz I expected more than a totally predictable teen flick.
Black Snake Moan - Really great music, pretty good acting, ridiculous script.
Factory Girl - Anakin Skywalker was bad. And I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if I was at any point to feel sorry for the main character - she just came off as a spoiled brat to me the entire time.

I might roll my eyes:
Premonition
Dead Silence

I rolled my eyes when this movie was released in theaters and for some reason I am compelled to rent it and that bothers me:
Wild Hogs

Totally recommended:
Hot Fuzz
The Lookout - I really enjoy Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He's quite good at that acting thing.
Howl's Moving Castle - This isn't new but I randomly checked it out the other day and it is fantastic. I really want to own it and read the book now.
The Host - Jaws meets Little Miss Sunshine. Seriously.

Recommended but not with as much enthusiasm:
Blades of Glory
Fracture - Good acting, but nothing that fantastic in my opinion.
TMNT - I have this need to support Sarah Michelle Gellar no matter how mediocre the movie is.

If you can handle the raunchy, check out in theaters now:
Superbad.

Very, very dirty. Very, very funny. Love Michael Cera. In somewhat of a dirty way.

My birthday is in 4 days! Yahoo!

ETA: Oh, and just a small little rant. There is a guy that I work with that was bitching about a breast cancer awareness day at a baseball game, saying they should instead have a prostate cancer awareness day because there are more deaths from prostate cancer each year than breast cancer. Which simply isn't true. Now, I'm not saying having a prostate cancer awareness day is a bad idea. But this same guy recently said that he wants to start a white male support group, since they are persecuted so much. And he calls woman customers who don't want to do loans with us bitches. I honestly believe that this guy thinks white males are superior to the rest of the human race. And I kind of hate him.
