Last week Greg got a call from his boss letting him know that starting immediately he's going to be working the 6pm to 6am shift. And no, I don't have that backwards. That's 6 at night until 6 in the morning. 12 hours a day. 7 days a week. It's been exactly one week now that it's been going on, and it feels like one year (or five). And I'm not even the one working 12 hour days. I get to see him Mon-Fri from 6:30am to 8pm. And by "see him" I mean that he's sleeping while I'm getting ready for work. I know that I'm complaining about how horrible this is for me, when of course it's way worse for him, but this is MY blog so I can be a little selfish. He's hoping that if he busts ass he'll be able to get the weekend before Xmas off (and Xmas day). I'll be going back to Iowa that weekend with or without him, but I'm really hoping that it's with him. If he actually gets those days off though, I feel like maybe he should just stay at home where he can sleep and play adventure* instead of having to deal with all of my family. But he says he wants to go, so who am I to argue? Luckily, once their busy season is over (probably early to mid-January) he'll be working first shift permanently. So there is a giant glowing gleaming super totally awesome light at the end of this suck tunnel.

Also: I watched High School Musical for the first time last night and it blew my mind. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. The musical numbers weren't quite to the "Top That" level, but some were pretty close. Though, I have to say Ashley Tisdale was really great. I was actually impressed.

Christmas Shopping = Done!

*adventure=some medieval fighting/looking for treasure/running around/no story line so it's pretty boring to watch video game.
