Since Greg and I entered the world of cable and DVR a few months ago, I'm getting kind of excited for the upcoming TV Season. I can actually record everything I'm interested in and watch at my leisure. So I've been checking out the schedules, reading stuff online, and I've managed to watch a couple of pilots to figure out which shows are getting seasons passes on our Ti-Faux. And here's what I've decided so far (in no particularly order):
Heroes - I've seen the first season, thanks to a marathon on Sci-Fi, and although I have my gripes I still enjoy the show. And with cast additions of
David Anders (Sark from Alias) and
Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) count me totally in for this season.
The Office - Since Greg and I watched Seasons 1-3 on DVD, the hardest thing about this season will be not watching multiple episodes back to back. (We got through the Season 3 DVD in about 4 days)
Gossip Girl - I dont have high hopes for this show at all, but it may provide some eye candy. And its narrated by Kristen Bell, so I gots to support it. At least for a couple of episodes.
Chuck - The trailers I've seen for this make it look pretty funny, and it costars
Adam Baldwin so I'll give it a shot.
Journeyman - I didn't really have a whole lot of interest in this when I first read about it, but the pilot in available On Demand right now (thanks cable!) so I checked it out last night, and I really like it. So hopefully it doesn't get cancelled. And
Kevin McKidd is cute - (and Scottish! Even though he's playing an American and we can't hear his accent...but still...Scottish!)
Reaper - Even though its taking over the old Veronica Mars time slot, so there's some bitterness there, this looks pretty funny. Although reluctant death merchant has already been done, I have pretty high hopes for this.
Moonlight - A show about a detective vampire looking to redeem himself, who falls for a human?
Sounds interesting! I'm planning on tuning in for at least a couple episodes even though the show has already had a bunch of problems before hitting the air (producer changes, recasts, etc) because I like vampires. And
Jason Dohring (from Veronica Mars) was one of the recasts.
If I can get the DVD viewing in for Friday Night Lights and Ugly Betty's 1st seasons, then I may tune into them as well. So, that's the list...did I miss any?
