I had planned on having a gay thanksgiving. Wednesday night I went to Hollywood Video and rented part of season 2 of Queer As Folk and the movie Latter Days (co-starring our 2nd favorite lesbian from Buffy, Amber Benson). Instead, my cousin showed up a cooked dinner for four (her, her boyfriend, uncle dave, and me). I had a gay Sunday-after-Thanksgiving instead.

This Thanksgiving season, I am thankful for my sister Nichole. She let me borrow her sweatpants and sweatshirt this weekend when I went home and realized the jeans I had packed suddenly did not fit me so well anymore. How absolutely depressing.

Friday night, my friend Chris hit a raccoon with his truck. He then did a U-turn, picked up the raccoon (which, by looking at closer, we realized wasn't quite dead yet) and threw the raccoon into the bed of his truck.
That's right. I went back home to Southeast Iowa for the weekend.

Saturday I went to Best Buy to browse around, see if anything peaked my interest. What I found was a CD of rarities and B-Sides from No Doubt. I didn't even know it existed. It's awesome. Most of the tracks are from "The Return of Saturn" phase, which is by far my fave album of theirs. That was pretty much the highlight of my weekend.

Last night I completely psyched myself up for James Marsters ( best known for his role as "Spike" on Buffy and Angel) guest role on "The Mountain." Per IMDB, last night was to be the night he would grace the WB with his presence. Alas, it was not so. I watched 20 or so minutes of the friggin Mountain for no reason. (other than laughing at one of the characters hair dos -- seriously mega bad) All is not lost though. I checked with JamesMarsters.com and the episode he's in is now being shown on 11/21. Everyone tune in. I'm hoping he throws in a "bloody hell" just for fun.

It's been a while, not because I've been busy...my life is just so boring.

I went to Iowa City this weekend for the annual "hang out with my parents and their friends and watch them get tanked" weekend. I did shots on Friday. I don't do shots. Iowa beat Purdue, so that was cool. Most of my drinks were paid for, so that was cool. I got drunk and called uber hot account rep from the bathroom at Jakes. That - not so cool. Thankfully he didn't answer, but he did call me on Sunday to give me a hard time about it. He figured I was either drunk or in some sort of trouble considering the hour I called. ( He was betting on the former) Why oh why cant I get over that jack ass? I can't even see his cute face anymore.
